In case you missed it, I made a couple of big announcements this week.
The first is one that has been a long time coming. I shared my official book cover for Even the Ashes Bloom, set to release early next year. God has been writing this story for 15 years, and I cannot wait to share it with you. It is raw, it is real, and it is hope-filled.
The second announcement is one I chose to share in the style of Lady Whistledown. For those unfamiliar with her, Lady Whistledown is the anonymous, sharp-witted narrator in the hit series Bridgerton. She writes with flair, grace, and a healthy dose of sass. So, with that in mind and the help of chatGPT to give me Whistledown’s flair…
Dearest Gentle Reader,
It is with no small measure of anticipation (and perhaps a touch of mischief) that I pen today’s note to inform you of a delightful new development within the pages of this most cherished blog.
In the coming weeks and months, you shall find not only the familiar musings of yours truly, Miss Sarah Brown, but also the eloquent contributions of other remarkable women—authors, storytellers, and purveyors of hope who have graciously agreed to lend their words to these pages.
Each guest shall be properly introduced, of course, with a charming biography and links to their respective calling cards (or “socials,” as the modern world insists upon calling them). Rest assured, dear reader, that these additions are not mere happenstance—they are the very embodiment of what it means for women to champion one another.
This endeavor is not simply a literary indulgence, but a mission: to scatter seeds of encouragement far and wide and to amplify voices that deserve to be heard. For what is society without a little sisterhood and a shared belief in the power of words?
I do hope you shall find this series as enriching and enlivening as I have in its planning.
Yours in grateful ink and admiration,
Miss Sarah Brown
(occasionally known as Lady Whistledown in disguise)
To kick us off this week on my social media accounts, you will be introduced to several of my author friends whom I hope you will choose to follow and support by checking out their books.
As for the first guest blog post, I look forward to continuing the series about navigating the struggle to forgive next week by sharing the thoughtful reflection of Susanne Moore with you through her post, “Grace Upon Grace Upon Grace.”
Finally, I would truly appreciate it if you would lift me in prayer as I work to finish my manuscript by its due date of July 4. I could not be more grateful for this community of support. Please know I pray for you, dearest gentle readers ;) , as well.
With a grateful heart,
Sarah
